I just got back from a trip to Miami, Fla. to visit friends and family. While I was there I had the opportunity to drink a couple of glasses of this wonderful wine. It impressed me enough to take a good look at the bottle. A very plain label that said Juan Gil made in spain I did not have my reading glasses with me so I was not able to read the fine print which I am sure had a lovely discription of what I was drinking. But without the fine print I can say very good, pleasant, and a wine I will drink again and share with friends. Salud!

You have got to be joking!!! Isn't this the type of urban planning masterstroke that occurred during the apertura that is now decried?

What does the Generalitat have to say about this?

Samuel:
How nice to come across your blog. I am a member of the Society of Wine Educators and a few weeks ago I had the good fortune of attending a 2 1/2 days seminar in Vancouver BC, sponsored by them and given by the Wine Academy of Spain. Pancho Campo, the president of the Wine Academy led the seminar and what an eyeopener that experience has been. I am now a confirmed fan of Spanish wines. I have a blog in which I will be covering the subject, I write a column and I have an email newsletter. This Tuesday I am leading a blind tasting of 8 Spanish wines with my tasting panel of 8 people. The results of the tasting I will cover in my newsletter. I am planning to do a trip of Spain next May with my friend from California. The Do map of the Wines from Spain is a real bonus to find. So thank you very much for that. I will visit your blog regularly to catch the latest. Muchos Gracias.

That´s right. This is true, but is also true that the italians know better how to sell themselves as the olive oil country. The spainish goverment should promote better the olive oil from Spain.
